When I leave on a work trip I often plan a menu for the family for the days that I’m gone. Not because they aren’t capable of figuring out what to eat on their own, they most definitely are, but we are a team and with one player gone everything gets a tiny bit harder so if thinking about what to eat is a non-issue then I feel like I’ve helped a little.
They often switch things up a bit depending on how their day is going, but at least they have something to work with.
Here’s the plan for an upcoming trip where I’ll be gone a week:
Monday

Lunch: Tuna Sandwiches and Steamed Vegetable
Supper: Slowcooker Beans and Ground Beef with Rice and Salad
Tuesday
Breakfast: Quesadillas
Lunch: Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches and Fruit
Supper: Baked Potato Bar and Steamed Vegetables
Wednesday
Breakfast: Waffles
Lunch: Quesadillas and Fruit
Supper: Pintos and Rice and Salad
Thursday

Lunch: Grilled Cheese Sandwiches and Fruit
Supper: Slowcooker Roast with Sweet Korean BBQ Sauce
Friday
