This may warrant the creation of a new category on my blog called “disgusting things”.
We stayed in Amarillo last night. When we drove into our hotel parking lot a swarm of little critters flew all around our car, their disgusting little selves flinging madly about, hitting our car windows and doors.
We thought they were moths at first, but quickly realized they were grasshoppers when they landed on our windshield. Al parked as close as we could to the door so we could avoid being attacked as we hauled our bags inside.
This morning I was able to get a shot or two. As disgusting as they are, they do pose quite well.
